Wolf
Lullaby by
Hilary Bell will be the first show at the Lieder in 2012
- as a foyer production it will have only a short season
with limited seats. This play is about the disturbing
subject of children as murderers. It asks not only why
it occurs, but how we should deal with it. The play raises
the question of chance, how close we have all come to
the edge, and what it is - luck? moral instinct? - that
pulls most of us back. The play also investigates the
idea of truth and young people - is it more important
to please the questioner, particularly if that person
in the parent?
First
performed by the Griffin Theatre Company in 1996 Wolf
Lullaby has won numerous awards and is a must
see thriller to open the 2012 season of plays at the Lieder
Theatre.
